How to get to the stadium and public viewing locations in Cologne
Cologne stadium
The stadium is located directly at the Cologne Stadium stop on line 1.
from Cologne Central Station (Köln Hbf)
- Take the KVB underground lines 14, 16 or 18 to Neumarkt, then change to tram line 1 and continue to Cologne Stadium
- Take the suburban train (S-Bahn) S12 or S19 to Weiden West, then change to tram line 1 and continue to Cologne Stadium
- Take the suburban train (S-Bahn) S12 or S19 to Technologiepark, then walk approx. 2 km to the stadium
from Köln Messe/Deutz
- Take the KVB underground line 1 to Cologne Stadium
from Köln Ehrenfeld
- Take the KVB tram line 13 to Aachener Str./Gürtel then change to tram line 1 and continue to Cologne Stadium

Tickets for public transport
Match ticket = public transport ticket
Tickets for European Championship matches in Cologne are also valid as travel tickets in the Rhine-Sieg (VRS) and Rhine-Ruhr (VRR) public transport networks.
This means that all buses, trams and trains (2nd class) in the VRS and VRR public transport networks (see map) can be used free of charge.
Validity: from 06:00 on the day of the match until 18:00 the following day
Download the UEFA EURO 2024 app. This includes the Fan Pass (=entry ticket) and the 36 h travel pass. The 36 h travel pass is only be displayed in the UEFA EURO 2024 app when the 36-hour period begins.

Where can I buy a public transport ticket?
- TIP: check-in and check-out via the FAIRTIQ app, the price is calculated automatically
- Ticket vending machines (on all trams & buses and at approx. 110 stops), payment with coins, credit card or EC card
- KVB customer centres, KVB points of sale and other retail outlets (kiosks)
- KVB app or VRS app
Travelling on trams, trains and buses throughout North-Rhine Westphalia without having to worry about fares is possible with the eezy.nrw digital tariff.
Check in with a swipe in the FAIRTIQ app before starting your journey. Your starting position is recorded via GPS. When you check in, your journey is recorded and a barcode can be shown for ticket checks.
When you arrive at your destination, simply check out again using the app. The app automatically calculates the price you pay for the kilometres you travelled as the crow flies, and you never pay more than 49 euros per month!
Thanks to FAIRTIQ's companion mode, you can also buy more than just one ticket with one swipe.

Retail outlets (kiosks)
There are about 80 retail outlets in Cologne (usually small kiosks) that sell KVB tickets.
They can be recognised by this sign:
KVB-Rad (3,000 bikes for hire in Cologne)
With the KVB bikes you can travel flexibly and cheaply throughout Cologne.

KVB bikes can be hired via the nextbike app. Once you have registered, up to 4 bikes can be hired at the same time on one account.
Registration
Registration is free of charge.
In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required which becomes credit that you can subsequently use.
How to hire
Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will automatically open.
Take a break
Do you want to park your bike temporarily? First activate the park mode in the app and then press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike.
Return
Check in the app in what zone you are in.
- Return your bike within the blue marked zone and at an official station at no extra cost.
- For € 1 extra you can return your bike within the pink zone.
- If you return your bike away from the zones or stations, a service fee of at least € 20 will be charged.
Press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike.
Lost & found
If you have lost an item on a bus or tram or at one of our stops, please contact the lost property office of the City of Cologne.
It can take approx. 1 to 2 weeks for lost items to be registered in the lost property office of the City of Cologne.

Park & Ride (P+R)
You can park your car free for up to 24 hours at the 24 KVB Park & Rides if you have a valid public transport ticket (admission ticket for a European Championship game incl. 36-hour travel ticket, journeys in the FAIRTIQ or VRS eezy.nrw app, Deutschlandticket, subscription, single ticket, 24-hour ticket, etc.).
You can easily get to Cologne city centre, Cologne stadium or the public viewing areas by bus, tram and train from all P+R locations.
Please note: The P+R car park at the stadium will be closed on the five match days in Cologne (15, 19, 22, 25 and 30 June).
